Congratulations on your Indy 500 victory. As a nisei Japanese American I have always rooted for you but this is a momentous occasion!! I have always enjoyed all types of racing and am proud for you !! I hope you continue with great success !!

I am a airline pilot and I was deadheading and I met Takuma on the flight and I told him how I would be sitting with my daughter while she was going through dialysis and I would be watching the racesm and I would be pulling for Takuma so my daughter started pulling for him too ! my wife is from Vietnam so we were pulling for a Asian driver but
I must say he was so kind to me on the airplane so we are fans for life!
when my daughter's health is better I want to take her to Indy I went every year as a boy we didn't go on vacations we went to Indy I was born on the day of the Indy 500 and my dad was at the race! ha no kidding he never missed a year since 1932 except during the war when they didn't have it until the year before he died in 2005!
